This body of work is a moment of reflection and an opportunity to visually represent memory in a meaningful way. With these pieces, I wanted to have fun drawing, use fun colors, and share images of my childhood alongside images of me today. These are so precious to me because they remind me of the person I was (a silly girl who loved playing animal crossing city folk and creating drama with my dolls in my closet) and who I'm becoming now (an adult who plays animal crossing new horizons and reads lots of manga) Sometimes I still look like that little girl who had big dreams, and I hope that never goes away.
